On December 17, 2023, at the GroundZero Kitob Olami co-working center, the Bonum Factum gallery opens a personal exhibition of Rushana Alimova “About the Good and the Eternal.”

About the good and the eternal.

The literary scene in the visual arts was the result of a combination of two creative movements. Literature describes human perception of reality using words, painting reflects reality using color and shape. The presented works are based on plots from works of world fiction.

Each series of paintings by the artist was made in different periods and differs from the previous one. The exhibition will present to the viewer a special world of book works, which the author interprets in his own artistic language, recreating the worlds of writers from different eras and countries.

Series "A Thousand and One Nights".

The series of paintings “A Thousand and One Nights” glorifies the image of a strong woman. The literary work consists of many fairy tales, but the inspiration for painting was “The Tale of King Kamar-az-Zaman and Princess Budur.” Magical interventions and incredible events captivate us, but sometimes the incredible happens in life. In a series of events and trials, Budur manages to cope with everything and reunite with her loved one.

Series “Love for Three Oranges”.

A picturesque series of paintings reproduces the atmosphere of the work “The Love for Three Oranges” - a fantastic story about a prince and his illness. According to the plot of the book, a conspiracy has been launched against the main characters, and the servant Truffaldino intends to save everyone.

"Alice in Wonderland" series.

A girl's adventure in a fantasy world, where everything is upside down and completely opposite to our usual ideas and vision of the world.

The paintings immerse you in a bright, colorful “world of the absurd,” separating the viewer from reality. The artist transferred the world of “Alice in Wonderland” to canvas, inspired by the idea that you need to believe in miracles and be able to look at the world through the eyes of a child.

Rushana Alimova: “My works reflect my emotional state, my worldview, my view of certain events that occur in certain periods of life. There are a lot of beautiful things that happen in life, as well as complex and difficult things. Despite all this, I believe that we should not stop believing in the best and in the forces from above that help us turn our dreams into achievable goals, if it is for the good.”

About the author.

Rushana Alimova was born in Tashkent in 1999. She studied painting at the Republican Art College. Benkova. Currently he is a master of the National Institute of Arts and Design named after Kamoliddin Bekhzod.
