A street exposition in the mountainous village of Gilan will present 40 photographs and a video film following a trip to the Langars of Uzbekistan from 2005-2020.
Kishlak Gilan is perhaps the most exotic in Uzbekistan. This is one of the highest mountain villages in Uzbekistan, located at an altitude of 2600 m above sea level. Located in the Shakhrisab district of the Kashkadarya region, on the border of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Large historical cities and villages of Uzbekistan, lost villages, tiny oases, surrounding mountains, deserts, rivers ... Many of them have material evidence of the centuries-old history of our land. Sacred architectural objects are located here and are carefully preserved in oral traditions and legends. Their innermost meaning cannot be understood without the inhabitants living here - the true keepers of the folk history. Preserving an inextricable spiritual connection with the monuments of the past, residents from generation to generation maintain a living thread of times, transmit to the future their sacred knowledge about their own past.
